To smile or not to smile?

Madison laughs and talks and smiles all day. It's hard to get her when she is not happy. This photo day she smiled and played. Then everytime we put her down to take a pic, she got upset. Here are a few unhappy but adorable pics of my Madison.

Ready to take more pics.

So, I made Jesse bring all my camera stuff to Lumberton when he came here. I decided I would have to atleast take the pics of my girls. I can't take them to a studio just yet! It's too much fun to do it myself and I like the quality of my photos better!

Yesterday in WalMart, I say a beautiful pregnant woman. I was so tempted to wip out my card and head her direction, but I'm trying to take it easy and help with the kids as much as possible. I do have a session the Sunday before my surgery. I'll be back in Houston for that. I'm very excited. It's a National Guard who wants pics for his family. More materials for my hero page! Fantastic!!!

Scheduled for Surgery

For a few months to come, my photography will be on hold. I miss it already. Hopefully I will be back to shooting before the doctor thinks. They say January, but I think I'll be better before then. I hope there are still some Seniors left who want pics. I love senior portraits!

I am scheduled for a two-level fusion on September 15th with Dr. Kozak at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. Hopefully this will get me feeling better so I can get back to life with a little less pain and a lot more ability. I am currently at my mom's house. Her and my Dad are helping me with Abigail and Madison until I have the surgery and the 4 months post op that I am not supposed to bend or twist. With a 3 month old and a 17 month old, that is a difficult order, but thankfully I have great help! So many family and friends have been so kind to help out as I have been in so much pain. Thank you so much.

I am not exactly sure which LDR device they will be using, but it will do something like this.

That picture is for only 1 level. I will have 2 fused.

Thank goodness for people to help and modern gadgets.

The IROBOT Roomba to vacuum my floors.

The IROBOT Scooba to mop

You can find great deals online with a little research if you are going to order one. They are so worth it. Since I bought mine my Mom, Grandma, friend Angelique, friend Amber, Aunt, and a few others have purchased one as well. As far as I know, everyone is satisfied with the product.

The Gopher Pick Up & Reaching Tool
This one is a must have. I think everyone with children should have one of these! I use it in the yard, in the house to get things off the floor, and in the house to get things that are too high to reach. It helps so much when it hurts so bad to bend over! I got mine at Walgreens I think.

PS -The product photos and x-ray were not taken by me. They are from variouse web pages.

Another Hero

John will soon be deployed. He leaves two-year-old twins and a beautiful wife. All in the name of freedom. Thank you for your sacrifice. You have a beautiful family.

Hero in more that one way

I invited the Hernandez family back to do some photos in his firefighting gear. It was the first time for his wife and daughter to see him in his gear. I admire firefighters, police officers, EMS, military, and so many others that sacrifice for the good of others. They put their life on the line and then often go unnoticed. I was honored to take a few shots of Julio for my heroes gallery (to be added soon). Not only did we get some shots showing his fire fighting gear, we also got some shots of him being a hero in another way. We got him loving his daughter who adores him. That makes him a double hero in my book. Thanks Julio for all you do.

(PS - His wife is a teacher. Another unsung hero. What a great family!)

Loving parents

Another sucessful shoot at Mary Jo Peckhm park and the Caboose in Katy, Texas. The little girl is my daughter's age, but so quiet and calm. It was a definite change for me. Anyway, the couple came over to view their pics. They were so sweet. Every time a new photo of their daughter came on the screen Dad laughed or awwed or exclaimed that his little girl was the cutest ever. I loved seeing how much he loved his daughter. Mom was just as excited as well. On top of that they chose a great pic of themselves kissing. What a blessed little girl to have such adoring parents that love her and each other dearly. I loved spending time with this family.

Live web page

Yeah! The new web page is live. Thank you Richard and Melanie for coming over and making that happen! I am going to switch some of the pics of me that Richard put on the page and put pics of others. I recently got some great military shots and one of a great tattoo. Those will look better than just pics of me! Anyway, check out the new site and look through the galleries to see some pics. Once I resize the thumbnails in my galleries so they load faster. I'll get to that soon. Happy browsing!
